Mavericks win again

With help from our boy Luka, the Mavericks took care of the New Orleans Pelicans Wednesday night by a score of 125-107. Luka ended up with 33, 8, and 8 and the defense played good enough to keep the Pelicans at bay (no pun intended). With that loss, the Pelicans are eliminated from playoff contention. Excitement is ramping up for the Mavs as they look like they will definitely be formidable heading into the playoff stretch. The Lakers, among others, will be tough to take down, but in a 7 game series…. who knows?

I remember when the Mavs won their title with LeBron’s first year in Miami, nobody gave them a chance. However, Dirk and company handled them in 6 games and was a ton of fun to watch! Anything can happen in the NBA as we know, but I do have a good feeling about them.

Next up are the 27-43 Toronto Raptors, which on paper, is a very winnable game. Make sure you head to FanDuel and place some prop bets for fun! Mavs are -1200 and a 13.5 point favorite, but you got +450 on Luka scoring the first points of the game. Pretty good value!

After Wednesday night’s win, the Mavs are:

41-29 on a 1 game winning streak and 8-2 in their last 10

#5 seed in the West and leading their division

#17 in total offense at 112.3 pts per game

#8 in total defense at 109.8 pts per game
