After 3 innings, the Rangers were all tied with the Astros, and it stayed that way until the 11th inning, when the Astro’s Myles Straw scored on a wild pitch from Brett Martin. The middle of the game was extremely slow and the Rangers continue their less than awesome season at 4th place in the division and only half a game up from being dead last in the AL West. The season is young and are only 6 back from the top of the AL, but they are going to need to step it up to say the least. They have Houston again tonight at 8:10 EST with Wes Benjamin going up against Zack Greinke (no easy ride, there). Hopefully, we can get a good streak going here!
As of this writing, the Rangers are:
4th place in the AL West
18-21 on the season (9-10 home, 9-11 away)
5.5 games back on the division lead
10th in the AL and 6 GB of 1st place
11th in batting average and tied for 4th in home runs at 48
