Ahhh, how sweet it is to pick back up the Monday/Tuesday morning dumb fan! Unfortunately, this is a crazy slow time of the year as besides the NHL Finals, we got mid summer baseball where they are playing game 50 something out of about 500 and something. However, we did get some nice morsels from this weekend, I should say. NASCAR was off as they take every Fathers Day weekend off, but golf was exciting on Sunday, the Warriors are still good, and even though it is mid summer baseball…. it’s still baseball!

Warriors win the 2022 NBA Championship
Last Thursday night, we watched an exciting game where the Warriors won by 367 points thanks to a stellar attempt by Boston to just not play defense…. at all. Okay, seriously, it was only 13 points, but that’s because the last 4-5 minutes, GS knew they had it and it’s hard to shoot free throws when you’re uncorking the Dom P. If you watched this game, Golden State legit, flat out DOMINATED from beginning to end. I really expected Boston to force a game 7 and the NBA to get another game on the schedule for the 19 billion dollars in ad revenue, but alas, it is over. Don’t wanna speak too soon, but there is no reason Golden State can’t do this again next year.

Matt Fitzpatrick wins the US Open by the skin of his…… chinny chin chin
Did you see the end of this? Did you see Will Zalatoris’ putt come within seriously a millimeter of going in that would have caused a fairly epic playoff? I cringed for the guy, personally. Who knows: Fitz may still have taken it, but it was a great tournament start to finish. Thanks to my boy, Scottie Scheffler for the late Saturday meltdown. He had every chance to win this weekend and just bombed it.

Apparently, somewhere in Alaska, car curling is a thing… and fairly popular with the locals. I need to dig more into this but I think you are picking up how slow sports actually are right now!

The Rangers are still a steaming pile of poo
My Texas Rangers are on a tear with a 2 game losing streak and will finish right towards the middle bottom just good enough to eff up any drafting options. If you’re gonna tank, then tank. Maybe by the time my son’s son’s daughter’s nephew has a kid…. they’ll be back in the playoffs! On a side note, feel free to caption the Rangers picture above how you see fit. I had fun with it at least.
What are we looking forward to?
3 words! 79….more….days! Cannot wait for this! Just like a kid in a candy store as I have done my whole life I will be waiting patiently for this to come just like a kid would for Santa Claus! At least here, the NFL is real (sorry to our young audience whose world was just shattered). Bring on the football baby!!!!
